Thank you NEMKO for this article:

The standard for IT-equipment, for the EU is EN 60950-1:2006, and it was amended with A11 in 2008, with DOP (Date of Publication) 1 December 2009. The A11 is a European amendment only, with both DOW (Date of Withdrawal) and DOC (Date of Cessation) on 1 December 2010. To stay up to date on the summary list of harmonized standards for the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC click here.  This list has a warning attached to it that states “Although the list is updated regularly, it may not be complete and it does not have any legal validity; only publication in the Official Journal gives legal affect.”

Therefore, after 1 December 2010, the Manufacturer’s Declaration of Conformity for the EN 60950-1 standard and the associated Technical File must be updated to EN 60950-1:2006 (ed.2) including /A11. Also, all certificates issued after that date must include EN 60950-1:2006 (ed.2) + A11. Therefore, it will no longer be permitted to market products manufactured and declared in accordance with the outdated standards; i.e. the EN 60950-1:2001 (ed.1) and the EN 60950-1:2006 (ed.2) without /A11.
